Celebrate the end of summer with us at Devil’s Lake state park!

As we approach the end of another glorious summer, Chapel Valley Church is thrilled to invite you all to our much-awaited “End of Summer Friends and Family Beach Bash” at Devil’s Lake State Park! It’s time to gather together for a day of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories on the North Shore of Devil’s Lake at the beautiful Rock Elm Shelter. Join us on Saturday, August 26th as we celebrate the end of this season with a joyful spirit and a heart full of gratitude.

Time: 2PM — 8PM
Location: Devil’s Lake State Park — North Shore (Rock Elm Shelter)

What to Bring:

We encourage everyone to bring a dish to pass and share with others. Additionally, we’ll be providing scrumptious brats for grilling, but you’re more than welcome to bring your choice of meat as well. The joy of delicious food is best when it’s shared among friends, so let’s indulge in a delightful potluck feast! Also, bring swimwear, yard games, hiking shoes depending on what you would like to do!

Activities:

Devil’s Lake State Park offers a stunning backdrop for a day of fun-filled activities. With its sparkling lake, soft sandy beach, and lush surroundings, we have plenty of exciting options to enjoy. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters, engage in a friendly game of frisbee, or explore the park’s hiking trails to connect with nature. For the adventure seekers, don’t miss the opportunity to scale the majestic bluffs and take in the breathtaking views from above. And most importantly, spend time with old friends and make new connections.

FAQ’s

Do I need a park pass for this event?

Yes. Devil’s Lake State park does require a pass for each vehicle coming to the park. You can either purchase a day pass on the day of at the park entrance, or you can purchase a Wisconsin State Park annual admission sticker. For pricing or for annual sticker purchase, please visit Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website. If purchasing admission the day of — there could be a line and a wait to get in the park.

What should I bring with me?

We will have brats and drinks (lemonade and water) but we encourage everyone to bring a dish to share with others. We love potlucks! Also, bring any yard games, swimming gear, hiking shoes, change of clothes etc. For a list of available activities, please visit the Devil’s Lake website.

Which shore are we meeting at?

Devil’s Lake has 2 entrances — we will be at the North Shore at the Rock Elm shelter. Look for the Chapel Valley Church signs near the parking area of the North Shore. We’ll be there!
