What is Luma?
We are a group of young people ages 12-18 that believe this generation can and will live for Christ. With the efforts of our leaders and volunteers, we exist for the purpose of loving God and loving people, and to see our generation move to change our world. This is a place where God gets to do what He wants to do.
We are real, we are transparent, and we like to have fun. We believe the kingdom advances through worship, prayer, and the move of the Holy Spirit. We value daily devotions and the word of God as our guide and answer to all things. We are committed to sharing the love of Christ and pursuing excellence in all that we do.
We believe that each person has been chosen for this specific time and we are instruments of God. With that comes the ability to live in a reality that is sometimes different than what our eyes can see. It means that no matter what our situation looks like, we serve a God that loves and accepts us just as we are. He is a God that is fully accessible to us.
3 Driving Focuses
UNITE: This is a safe place, a real place, where all young people are welcomed and encouraged to come expecting to experience Him in a fresh way.
ENCOUNTER: Nothing can compare to a real and authentic encounter with Him. The encounter is what we live for. The encounter is why we get up in the morning. The encounter is what changes lives. The encounter is what Luma is all about.
SHINE: We are the light of the world. NOW is the time for us to go from being those who “go to church” to those who “change the world.”
